The Safe Prom and Those Who Host (Lose
the Most) programs are part of a social marketing campaign
to educate the community about the health and legal
impacts of underage drinking.
Safe Prom is targeted to the hotels, limousine services
and beverage retailers with the message of not contributing
to underage drinking by providing teens an unsupervised
party location or selling them liquor.
The Those Who Host (Lose the Most) campaign is directed
to adults to educate them about the health and legal
aspects of underage drinking and to encourage them to
help teens celebrate sober and safely.
The campaign is sponsored by the Northland Coalition,
Community 2000 volunteer Teams of Clay, Platte and Ray
counties and Tri-County Mental Health Services, Inc.
Funding is received through grants by the Drug-Free
communities Support Program and the Missouri Division
of Alcohol and Drug
Abuse.
Newspaper and billboard advertising as well as public
service announcements
"starring" two local young volunteers of Youth
With Vision work together to
deliver the message to the community.
