Prom
photos and open toed shoes make prom manicures and pedicures
a must! This season pink is the word for nail
color from pale shades of Cinderella pink to mod Barbie
flavors.
Tips for keeping your nail tips polish
perfect.
- Remove old varnish with a nail polish remover. Soak
your hands for about 10-15 minutes in warm water.
For a better soak add a hand moisturizing soap.
- Push cuticles back with an orange stick and trim
with cuticle scissors. Shape your nails either round
or square (remember to file in only one direction
to prevent splitting).
- Pick out your favorite color . Apply a base coat
first to prevent the polish from turning your nails
yellow. Coat nails twice and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
After dry, apply a hand moisturizer.
Pedicure
Steps to keep your steps feeling good
and looking pretty.
- Remove old varnish with a nail polish remover. Soak
your feet for about 10-15 minutes in warm water.
- Exfoliate away dry or rough spots with a loofah
stone (try using a lotion with pumice bits, but apply
only to the skin). Trim cuticles. Cut and shape nails.
- Pick out a cool color for the season (try silver
or coffee with glitter), starting with a base coat,
followed by two coats of color.
Trading tricks: Give
your nails a shimmering hue by applying a darker first
coat, topped off with a lighter second coat (complimenting
colors please!).
